10 Minutes Yoga for Fibromyalgia Series

Day Four – Rest Now

Didn’t we just rest yesterday? Yes siree – resting is more important for us than almost any other yoga too. Today’s one is special because once you are in the post you can use Yoga Nidra at the same time to supercharge it.

Today we are looking at a pose from the restorative yoga style. Restorative yoga was designed for those who were injured or unwell.

When you let yourself get very comfortable and be held in the pose it can switch on your parasympathetic nervous system.  That rest and digest mode which is the opposite of stress! It is so good for those of us with central nervous system overactivation.

Why? The benefits of a balanced central nervous system include:

  • Better sleep
  • Less pain
  • Reduced anxiety
  • Relaxation
  • Good digestion
  • Heal well
  • Have enough energy
  • Less brain fog

Yes please to all of these!!

Congratulations – you have completed the challenge!!

Thank you so much for doing this with me and for allowing me to share my favourite yoga tools with you.

How do you feel?

Which was your favourite?

What one (or two, three or all) will you continue?

Remember – I offered you two ways to continue and build your practice in an accessible manner…

The Foundations of Yoga for Fibromyalgia Starter Program is THE program for you to join like-minded people (proactive people with chronic pain and fatigue) and DO the things that will help. The rest, relaxation, gentle movement and more.

So I’d love to invite you to join us

For those who NEED the rest habit. The program dedicated to Yoga Nidra! Check it out. This is my favourite tool ever built out into a 21 day build your rest habit program.

You may have noticed my commitment to providing as many resources as possible to help you build a lifestyle that reduces pain and fatigue. I have over 300 blog posts, over 150 videos, two public Facebook groups, social media pages, free programs (like this one you just completed), worksheets, books and low-cost programs. All exist to help you build your practical toolkit using what I have learnt in 20 years living with these symptoms, in addition to my yoga and meditation teacher trainings (plural!) and research. By purchasing my low-cost programs you support this work to continue. Thank you!
