I am really proud and excited to share that I have made more than eight books (over the last several years) as a spoonie author, that you can add to your Christmas lists.
As a spoonie – person with limited energy, it’s not easy to do things like write books. But this has been a dream of mine for a very long time. I remember as a child writing books and planning on being an author. So it’s super exciting that chronic illness hasn’t taken this away from me.
I share eight of the books including the backstory for them below.

Fibromyalgia Won’t Win
I wrote this book as a concise, fully edited version of my journey, as shared on this blog. It outlines my entire health journey including all the things I’ve done to go from moderate to mild.
“If you have fibromyalgia, you need this book!” – Review
My Daily Health Log Journal
This physical journal, that you can purchase on Amazon, originated as a template that I meticulously copied from page to page of a blank notebook several years ago. I made a very rough digital copy using PowerPoint. Finally, I designed it in Canva.
It’s A5, pretty and easy to use. The idea is that you spend a couple of minutes, a couple of times a day, treat your pain according to your pain plan and then carry on with your day.
My Gratitude Journal
A journal for anyone! The benefits of gratitude journaling are great for everyone. So I made this pretty little journal to guide a simple daily practice. You track your daily three things you’re grateful for, a reminder, an intention and space for notes. It’s another one that started digital and I made it print.
Pregnancy and Fibromyalgia
I wrote a book about a subject that has an abysmally low literature rate. There is very limited information about pregnancy and fibromyalgia. So as a mama with fibromyalgia, I shared my research, my experience and other mama’s experience.
My Mama Has Fibromyalgia
I wrote this book because it reflected conversations that I was having with my children. It was difficult, even as a fibromyalgia advocate who has been writing about it for several years, to decide what to share with my children.
This is a non fiction picture book written in easy to understand terms.
My Mama Has Chronic Pain
I wrote this one for a few friends of mine who had chronic pain without the additional symptoms of fibromyalgia.
My Mama Has Chronic Pain is told from the point of view of my second son and shares what chronic pain is like from a child’s point of view.
My Mama Has ME/CFS
This one was actually the hardest to write, ME/CFS includes a very wide spectrum of abilities. Even mild ME/CFS is a wide spectrum! This one is told from the point of view of my third son. It’s an easy to understand, non fiction picture book for kids.
Given the nature of ME/CFS it’s for audiences a little older than the other two. All children can enjoy the pictures, but they might be 6 plus before they can understand the extent of it.
Get On Top of Your Life
This journal came about because I know how hard it is to enact our pacing plans. This journal teaches you to use your symptom tracking in your daily planning.
