Being a human being and simple healthy living is a prerequisite for helping to manage chronic pain and fatigue.
Simple healthy living tips are top of the to-do list. Because you cannot throw medicines or any other tools at chronic pain and fatigue if you are not addressing your “normal human needs”.

Here are some simple things you can do right now:
- Breathe (activate your rest and digest mode)
- Rest well – download Insight Timer and look for guided meditation
- Add more water
- Add more vegetables
- Wander your garden or down your street
- Call a joyful person
- Do something you enjoy and can do easily (coloring, read a book, do a puzzle?)
- Stretch mindfully
- Try a clay heat pack
- Try essential oils (massage with lavender, frankincense and copaiba with fractionated coconut oil)
- Give some very gentle yoga a go (my free yoga for fibromyalgia micro course)
- Have a warm bath or shower
- Learn about fibromyalgia
- Inform yourself about myofascial pain syndrome
- Read up on the central nervous system
- Tackle sleep
- Look into low dose naltrexone
- Write start a journal of your feelings and experiences
- Read The FibroManual by Dr Liptan
- Read The Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Solution by Dr Teitelbaum
- Join the Yoga for Fibromyalgia group to chat through practical things we can do to help ourselve.
